Yankee Clipper X comes with two views; advanced and simple.
Both views have the same menu (on top of the window) as well as toolbar with buttons to access the most common functionalities. See Yankee Clipper Views for more information.
On the bottom of both views there is a status bar witch provides some useful information about current Yankee Clipper X mode or name of collection being displayed.
Yankee Clipper X supports 5 different types of collections. Limit of clippings for each collection is configurable. In each type of collection user can select what type of clippings to display. Please refer to Yankee Clipper Clippings for more information. For more information about Yankee Clipper X collection please refer to Yankee Clipper Modes.
For BoilerPlate collections, Yankee Clipper X supports Encryption. Using this feature user can encrypt every clipping in any BoilerPlate collection with a password. All BoilerPlate collections are encrypted with the same password. Every time user wants to see contents of the encrypted collection the valid password must be entered. Yankee Clipper X supports several ways of pasting clippings from its collections to any document.
Double clicking, Shooting, invoking Global menu for specific collection. For more information see How to paste clipping into a document.
Yankee Clipper X allows configuring Hot Keys for each type of collection. When the appropriate combination of Hot Keys is pressed a list of clippings contained in collection corresponding to Hot Key pressed will show on the screen, without Yankee Clipper X window being shown.
Hot Keys can also be configured for switching between different AutoFilter and BoilerPlate collections. Please see Configuration for detailed information on how to customize Yankee Clipper X.
Clippings can be searched by invoking the advanced search, which allows user to search in any collection in either description or contents of a clipping. Each clipping from the list of results can be easily located in its collection. For more information on how to use Yankee Clipper X search see How to search for Clippings.
Yankee Clipper X provides several icons to be displayed on
the icon tray. To select desired icon to be displayed, right click on the Yankee
Clipper X icon on the icon tray, and choose Use alternate icon
.
As this menu item is clicked the tray icon will change.
